Calm Your Catastrophising in Minutes

You are really good at getting in your head about things and imagining worst case scenarios. You find it impossible to stop or control your worrying, especially about the future. Little niggles hook you in quickly, causing you to spiral with worry about all the things that could possibly go wrong or how you will fail. You can see these worst case scenarios clearly in your mind and this then leads you to start feeling panicky, tense, you might even have a racing heart beat. You are consumed with these fears and feel helpless to control or stop engaging with your worries. If you are quick to catastrophise and tired of feeling distracted by all the worst case scenarios, which are sucking the joy out of your life as it is now, then keep reading for some helpful insights.

As a clinical psychologist in private practice, I've been thinking outside the box lately about how to offer something evidence based, yet low cost, to people suffering with anxiety who can't afford private therapy, don't have the time to give to it, or are stuck on endlessly long NHS waiting lists.

I've been quietly working away behind the scenes to create something quick, concise, affordable, and evidence based. I wanted this 'something' to be engaging though. Worksheets, manuals, books, and complete online courses have been done many times over. Unfortunately, most of my therapy clients have told me worksheets are not engaging (and let's face, it they can feel quite boring and simplistic- which is why I barely use them in CBT).

If you are a chronic 'over thinker' and often find yourself spiralling with worrying about worst case scenarios and would like to feel less anxious and more present in a matter of minutes, then this new offering might be helpful.

In this 20 minute tutorial, I talk directly to you about:

  • what catastrophising is,
  • why we do it, and the brain science behind it.
  • I then coach you through one actionable, evidence based technique that you can start to apply immediately to feel more empowered and less out of control with your worrying.

If you or anyone you know could potentially find this helpful, please click here or share freely. For a limited time of 2 weeks, I'm offering this as a digital download for £24.99 as a special introductory offer. After this, the regular price of £34.99 will apply.

While this is not in any way a replacement for personalised therapy, but I hope it will go a long way to something 'in between' self help and therapy for those who are currently struggling without qualified, expert help and lack the time or financial resources to commit to therapy. It can also give you a good taster of what therapy with me might be like, without having to invest a significant amount of money in a session fee to find out!
